The key one: Upon completion of NipeX registration, you will be migrated to e-Marketplace with login details. NipeX does not give certificate for registering with them.
What is NipeX?
NipeX is an acronym for the Nigerian Petroleum Exchange. It is an online platform that comprises two web-based solutions – the Joint Qualification System (JQS) and the e-Marketplace.
NipeX is a division of the National Petroleum Investment Management Services (NAPIMS), a Corporate Services Unit (CSU) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC Limited) set up to enhance contracting processes in the oil and gas industry in Nigeria.
What is JQS?
JQS means Joint Qualification System. It is designed to pre-qualify Suppliers registered in Nigeria. It increases efficiency and instills integrity in the pre-qualification process of the Nigerian Oil and Gas industry. NJQS Registration can also be called NipeX Registration

What is e-Marketplace as regards to NipeX?
The NipeX electronic (online or webbase) marketplace (e-Marketplace) is a collaborative environment designed to facilitate contract processing between Operators (Buyers) and NNPC. In otherwords, It is the bidding platform of NipeX where tenders are progressed from Opportunity phase upto Commercial phase.
Two NipeX Users:
The NipeX platform has two (2) categories of users (companies) that are registered in Nigeria. The users are Buyers (Operators) companies and Suppliers (Contractors) companies.
The Buyers are those companies that uses e-Marketplace to issues contracts while the Supplier companies are the companies seek to receive jobs/ contracts from e-Marketplace.
The Buyers (Operators) companies do not need to register to use NipeX. However, they need to be configured on the NipeX system. As a Buyer, you need to contact the NipeX Customer Relations and Marketing (CRM) Department for more information and for your configuration on the NipeX platform.
The Suppliers (Contractors) companies need to be registered through Joint Qualification System.

It is important to note here that registering with NipeX, you have registered with All Oil & Gas Buyer companies in Nigeria. Whether they are foreign or local companies operating in Nigerian Oil & Gas industry.
