What is NipeX Product Code?
Product Codes are the number of products and services you wish/ think your company is competent enough to provide and want to qualify for the services in NipeX electronic contracting platform for NNPC and its operating partners. The NipeX electronic contracting system uses the codes to select the services your company have registered for.
Late 2016, NipeX developed a new product Codes visa vee with NUPRC (DPR) permits for all their services that is difference from the previous product Codes the NNPC and her partners has been operating. Product Code Selection/ Mapping
Focus on where your Company ‘Adds Value’ in the Supply Chain
- Obtain appropriate NUPRC (DPR) permit(s)
- Note that NipeX accepts only Major and/or Specialized category of permit.
- Decide the products and/or services you want.
- Select the codes your permit(s) can fetch.
- Supplier registration should be seen as a key part of your marketing and should reflect all the products and services that are of interest to you in the oil industry.
- Map your codes in line with your NUPRC (DPR) permit(s)
- As an approach to deciding what to register, think of your business lines and ensure that, your main ones offered by your company are covered.
- Use description keywords and your own words that your customers may use to search the database.
For example:
A company that have SAFETY / PROTECTION / SECURITY / FIREFIGHTING EQUIPMENT NUPRC (DPR) Permit is eligible to choose Nipex product codes number 1.16.02.

NipeX Product Code Addition Process
NipeX Product Code Addition is a process of adding more or a new service to your existing services in the NipeX electronic contracting platform.
Required documents to be attached to all Suppliers Product/Service Code Addition requests:
I. Relevant valid NUPRC (DPR) permit(s)
II. Work History for requested code(s)/service(s)
III. Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), if applicable
IV. List of relevant Equipment(s) (owned or lease)
V. Statutory document from relevant authorities for requested code(s)/service(s) e.g NIMASA, Recruiter’s license etc
Note: To add additional products/services to your existing services in NipeX electronic contracting platform attracts $2000 or N600,000 charge if approved.
