What is NLNG Train?
Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) Train is liquefied natural gas plant’s liquefaction and purification facility located in Bonny Island Rivers State, South South Nigeria. Before now, NLNG have Train 1 to Train 6 (6 Trians).
NLNG has plants that consist of trains that convert natural gas into liquefied natural gas. A typical train consists of a compression area, propane condenser area, methane, and ethane areas.

What is NLNG Train 7 Project?
NLNG Train 7 Project is a project plan for the sustainability of its operations and expansion project which will increase NLNG’s production capacity from 22 Million Tonnes Per Annum (MTPA) to 30 MTPA. NLNG is a mid-stream company that has monetised over 5.96 Trillion cubic feet (Tcf) of Associated Gas (AG) which would have otherwise been flared.
Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) is an independent Incorporated Joint Venture owned by the Federal Government of Nigeria, represented by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC (49%), Shell Gas B.V. (25.6%), Total Gaz Electricite Holdings France (15%), and Eni International (10.4%).
As NLNG Train 7 Project is a plan for the sustainability of its operations and expansion project which will increase NLNG’s production capacity to 30 MTPA. Late 2018, at a Final Investment Decision (FID), NLNG is seeking $7 billion from the global financial markets for the Train 7 Project.

At an opening ceremony to source fund for NLNG Train 7 Project, Tony Attah, revealed that funds being sought will cover the company’s expansion program (construction of Train 7) and investment in the upstream gas sector in Nigeria that will ensure the sustainability of feed gas supply to its existing trains (Trains 1 to 6) and the new Train 7.

In order to follow abide on Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development Act 2010, the NIGERIAN CONTENT DEVELOPMENT and MANAGEMENT BOARD with
NLNG has set up plans to maximise the utilization of Nigerian manufacturers, fabricated and assembled equipment, materials and services.
