Tunisia is divided into 24 governorates as the highest administrative division. Governorates are divided into 264 districts as subdivision. There are municipalities under the districts.

The African country Tunisia is also divided into six geographical regions. These regions are North East Tunisia, Greater Tunis, North West Tunisia, Center West Tunisia, Center East Tunisia, and South Tunisia. However, there is no administrative structure of the geographical regions.

Ariana is one of the 24 governorates of Tunisia. It is located in the north of the country. According to 2014 data, the region has an area of 482 square kilometers and has 576,088 populations. Ariana governorate is divided into seven districts and six municipalities as sub-administrative division. The capital of the governorate is Aryanah.
Béja
Béja is one of the 24 governorates of Tunisia. It is located in the north of the country. According to 2014 data, the region has an area of 3,740 square kilometers and has a population of 303,032. The governorate of Béja is divided into nine districts and eight municipalities as a sub-administrative division. The capital of the region is the city of Béja.
Ben Arous
Ben Arous is one of the 24 governorates of Tunisia. The governorate is located in the north of the country. According to 2019 data, it has a population of 712,172 and an area of 761 square kilometers. Ben Arous governorate is divided into twelve districts and eleven municipalities as sub-administrative division. The capital of the governorate is Ben Arous.
Bizerte
Bizerte is one of the 24 governorates of Tunisia. It is located in the northernmost part of the country. According to 2014 data, it has an area of 3,750 square kilometers and has a population of 568,219. Bizerte is divided into fourteen districts and thirteen municipalities as sub-administrative division. The capital of the region is the city of Bizerte.
Gabès
Gabès is one of the 24 governorates of Tunisia. The governorate is located in the central and eastern part of the country. According to 2014 data, the governorate has an area of 7,166 square kilometers and has a population of 374,300. The governorate of Gabès is divided into ten districts and ten municipalities as a sub-administrative division. The capital of the region is the city of Gabès.
Gafsa
Gafsa is one of the 24 governorates of Tunisia. It is located in the central and western parts of the country. According to 2014 data, Gafsa has an area of 7,807 square kilometers and has a population of 337,331. Gafsa governorship is divided into eleven districts and eight municipalities as sub-administrative division. The capital of the region is Gafsa.
Jendouba
Jendouba is one of the 24 governorates of Tunisia. It is located in the north-western part of the country. According to 2014 data, population of the area is 401,477 and the surface area is 3,102 square kilometers. The Jendouba governorship is divided into eight districts and eight municipalities as a sub-administrative division. The capital of the region is the city of Jendouba.
Kairouan
Kairouan is one of the 24 governorates of Tunisia. The governor’s office is located in the central part of the country.
