Eleven Provinces of Mozambique
The African country Mozambique is divided into 11 provinces, the highest administrative division.
Provinces of Mozambique are: Cabo Delgado, Gaza, Inhambane, Manica, Maputo City, Maputo, Nampula, Niassa, Sofala, Tete and Zambezia.
According to the official figures of 2007, the most populated region is Nampula Province (3,985,613) and the least populated region is Capital Province (1,094,628). According to the surface area, the largest region is Niassa Province (122,827 square kilometers) and the smallest area is the Capital Province (347 square kilometers).
Cabo Delgado
Cabo Delgado Province is one of Mozambique’s 11 administrative districts. Located in the north of the country. Headquartered in Pemba. Its surface area is 78,778 square kilometers and the official population of 2007 is 1,606,568.

Gaza
Gaza Province is one of the 11 administrative regions of Mozambique. Located in the south of the country. Xai-Xai city is the headquarters of the province with an area of 75,334 square kilometers, the official population of 2007 is 1,228,514.
Inhambane
Inhambane Province is one of the 11 administrative regions of Mozambique. Located in the south of the country. Inhambane is the headquarters of the region with an area of 68,775 square kilometers, the official population of 2007 is 1,271,818.
Manica
Manica Province is one of the 11 administrative regions of Mozambique. Located in the west of the country. The headquarters is in Chimoio. The province has an area of 62,272 square kilometers and the official population of 2006 is 1,359,923.
Maputo City
Maputo is the capital of Mozambique. The economy of the city, which is a port city in the Indian Ocean, developed around this port. The estimated population in 2017 is 1,101,170. However, it is accepted that there are more than this number in the city where there are many nightlife and illegal living. The area of the city is 346 square kilometers.
Maputo
Maputo province is one of the 11 administrative regions of Mozambique. Located in the south of the country. Headquarter is Matola. Its surface area is 22,693 square kilometers and the official population of 2007 is 1,205,709.
NAMPULA
Nampula Province is one of the 11 administrative regions of Mozambique. Located in the northeast of the country. Headquarter is Nampula. Its surface area is 79,010 square kilometers and the official population of 2007 is 3,985,613.
NIASSA
The Niassa Province is one of the 11 governing regions of Mozambique. Located in the north of the country. Lichinga is the headquarters of the city with an area of 122,827 square kilometers and the official population of 2007 is 1,170,783.
SOFALA
Sofala Province is one of the 11 administrative regions of Mozambique. Located in the central part of the country. The headquarters is in Beira. The area of the province is 67,753 square kilometers and the official population of 2007 is 1,642,920.
TETE
Tete Province is one of the 11 administrative regions of Mozambique. Located in the west of the country. The city is headquartered in Tete. Its surface area is 98,417 square kilometers and the official population of 2007 is 1,783,967.
ZAMBEZIA
Province of Zambezia is one of the 11 administrative regions of Mozambique. Located in the north of the country. The headquarters is in Quelimane. Its surface area is 103,478 square kilometers and the official population of 2007 is 3,849,455.
